Boulder is supposedly in a semi-arid climate (I did see some cactuses growing on the side of the mountain, so I'm inclined to believe it), but there have been thunderstorms nearly every day, and the Boulder Creek is running very high.

Summertime usually means sun most of the day, then a nasty, crazy thunderstorm, and then sun again. Best thing about Colorado weather is that even when it rains or snow, it's still sunny at least some of the day. Unlike the three months of clouds we can have in NY.
